About the Department

Anadolu University Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was first established within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture in 1980. However, when this faculty became a part of the newly established Osmangazi University in August 1993, a new Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and, as a part of this new faculty, a new Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in Anadolu University. Faculty of Engineering and Architecture was divided into two separate faculties in 2011-2012, and Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been involved in the Faculty of Engineering.

Department offers a bachelor of science, master of science and doctorate of philosophy programs. Undergraduate program (leading to the B.Sc. degree) has started in the 1997-1998 academic year. The medium of instruction in our undergraduate and graduate programs are English. Duration of the B.Sc. program is 4 years. Also, students who cannot pass the English proficiency exam, have to attend and successfully complete 1-year long English preparatory school before taking any courses from the department.

At our university, students, who meet certain requirements, also have the opportunity to apply for a double-degree undergraduate program or a minor undergraduate program.

B.Sc. program of the department is accredited by MÜDEK (Member of EUR-ACE and International Engineering Alliance) from 30 September 2014 until 30 September 2019.
